Week 4

We will start this weeks round up in division three, with the current leader, The Whitfield Club.  They beat the Carrires in game where one of them would lose their 100% record, the Whitfield Club won 5-4.  The only other side with 100% win record in the division is the phoenix C, who had a bye this week.

Another side that had a cracking start to the season is the Sportsman, they have won three of their opening four games, they beat the DSAA C 8-1 this week.  The Nelson won 7-2 against the Old Endeavour and finally the Crown Smiffys had a 9-0 as the Eagle could not field a side.

In division two the Boars Head B are still unbeaten, they ended the Bull Dogs unbeaten start to the season with a 5-4 win.  Connor Barnes and Chris Wayte both hit 180s in the match.  This result means that the Northern Diamonds are the only other unbeaten side in the league, they beat fellow promoted side the Hairy Crown 5-4.

The Diamond C picked up their first win of the season, they beat the Admiral Cups 5-4, the DSAA A made it three wins out of four with a 6-3 win against Tilmanstone.

In the final game of the night in division two Dave Henwood of the DSAA Hope checked out on 153 in his sides 5-4 win against the Dewdrop Harvey.

Division one, there was two 9-0s.  The DWMC Oast beat the Crown& Sceptre and the Boars Head Arrows beat Phoenix Maddogs.  Apologies to the Crown as missed them from the blog completely, to make it worse they won for the first time in the top flight, 5-4 vs Boars Head C.

The Bull A won 6-3 against the Boars Head C, Darran Bough checked out on 117 for the Boars Head.  The Diamond won 6-3 against the Old Endeavour, couple of 180s in this game, one a piece for Baz Robinson and Ray Bourne.

Tony Earl checked out on 102, however his DWMC side lost 6-3 against the Hairy Bull.  Jim Yarwood hit two cracking checkouts for the Real Diamonds, 100 and 120.   This was eclipsed by a excellent 152 by Mike Matthews on the Three Cups who won the match 5-4.
